When people talk about visiting the Cheung Chau Island in Hong Kong, people generally think about visiting Pak Tai Temple, having some local street food, dropping in at a pub and chilling out on a beach.
As I was with a bunch of “hardcore” hiking friends, we did things differently and decided to do something chill out on a Saturday. (Hey – the word “hardcore” does not go with “chill out” – oh well, that’s us!)
Sure, we did call in to some local street food stalls, but we also checked out the island and scouted out some potential coasteering routes for the summer.
A short video of what we were up to.
So have you been to Cheung Chau? Or did you have an exciting day out recently? What was it like?
In fact the island is becoming one of my favorite places too. Not because of the crazy number of tourists, but actually the natural beauty of the quieter side of the island, something that I didn’t see in the last few times I went. I would love to go back to explore the rocky coastline in the summer again.
one of my favorite places in HK 😀

I haven’t been here! I was in Hong Kong this weekend but it was freaking cold and my friend basically didn’t want to do anything xD

It was indeed much colder than usual. It was quite unseasonal I suppose.
